La película The Fault in Our Stars fue la más premiada

 Entérate de quienes fueron los ganadores de los Teen Choice Awards 2014

Tyler Posey y Sarah Hyland fueron los presentadores este año. Demi Lovato tuvo una presentación especial junto a Cher Lloyd. Ansel Elgort y Shailene Woodley, ganan premios por sus trabajos en dos películas en las cuales trabajaron juntos.

La ceremonia de premiación más esperada por los adolescentes y jóvenes de Estados Unidos (y de muchas otras regiones), fue llevada a cabo este domingo 10 de agosto desde el Shrine Auditorium, en  Los Ángeles, USA. Los votantes escogieron como ganadores a estrellas musicales populares del momento como, Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift y la banda australiana 5 Seconds of Summer. Asimismo, fueron premiados artistas del mundo del cine, televisión, moda, ciberespacio y deportes.

La máxima categoría musical en la noche, canción del verano, fue para la ex estrella de Disney, Demi Lovato, por su hit, Really don´t Care, el cual interpreta junto a la rapera británica, Cher Lloyd, y que, además, interpretaron para abrir el show. 

Otra artista premiada en la gala fue Selena Gomez, quien recibió el premio especial “ Ultimate Choice”, debido a su trayectoria artística, que incluye actuación en cine y televisión, música, doblaje de voces en películas animadas y, además, por su labor humanitaria.

Por el lado del cine, el film 22 Jump Street, se llevó la categoría de película del verano, aunque la más premiada, en el área del séptimo arte, fue el conmovedor drama romántico, The Fault in our Stars, que obtuvo la tabla de surf a mejor película de drama, mejor liplock (beso apasionado), mejor química entre sus protagonistas, Ansel Elgort y Shailene Woodley, quienes, de paso, recibieron las premiaciones a mejor actor y actriz de drama en cine por sus roles en esta película. Adicional a esto, ambas celebridades obtuvieron premiaciones por su trabajo en la cinta de acción Divergent, en donde también trabajaron juntos. En el caso de Elgort, fue la categoría de mejor artista nuevo en cine, y para Woodley, mejor actriz de acción en cine.    

Por el área de la televisión, el drama juvenil Pretty Little Liars, ganó como mejor serie de drama y, una de sus principales estrellas, Lucy Hale, se llevó a casa, por quinta vez consecutiva, un teen choice por su papel en esta serie de ABC Family. Este año por mejor actriz de drama en TV.  

Otros galardonados durante la ceremonia, fueron One direction, como grupo del verano; Ariana Grande, mejor artista femenina, y su canción, Problem, mejor canción por una artista femenina; Kevin Hart, mejor actor de comedia en cine; Lea Michelle, mejor actriz de comedia en televisión; Nina Dovreck, mejor actriz de ciencia ficción en televisión. 

Entre otras categorías, Los Juegos del Hambre: En llamas, fue catalogada, por los votantes, como el mejor film de ciencia ficción y, Josh Hudcherson, obtuvo la de mejor actor de ciencia ficción por su aparición en esta cinta. Otro de los integrantes del reparto de esta película, Donald Sutherland, obtuvo la premiación a mejor villano en cine, mientras que, el mejor villano en televisión este año es Dylan O'Brien, de la serie Teen Wolf. También, se premió al programa Keeping up with the Kardashians como mejor reality show.

Algunas de las categorías especiales este año fueron las cibernéticas, entregadas a quienes se han destacado en el mundo de las redes sociales o Youtube. Uno de los premios entregados en esta área, fue para el mejor usuario de instagram, obtenido en esta entrega, por Miley Cyrus.  

  

Entre otras notas, el show tuvo como presentadores al protagonista de Teen Wolf, Tyler Posey, y a Sarah Hyland, integrante de la serie de Fox, Modern Family. La música fue puesta por Demi Lovato, Cher Lloyd, la banda canadiense Magic, Los británicos Rixton, Becky G y Jason Derulo.
